Mrs. Garst stated that she only needs two things to get by “the Lord and University of Kentucky Basketball. Is it a coincidence that her age is 109 and we are coming up on our chance at our 9th National Championship win? I think not, neither does she, she stated “she’ll live to 110 years to see one more wildcat victory.” She also said would like to meet Coach Cal, “it’s on her bucket list”. We hope all your wishes are granted… HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERNESTINE GARST!

C J is a 2nd grader at Audubon Elementary. He and his classmates presented “The Living Wax Museum of Historical Figures”. Each student got to pick their favorite historical figure, dress in character and share interesting facts with visitors. He played his part perfectly and did a great job! Here are a couple of pictures showing his display:

A brand new Big Blue Nation song has hit the scene by Ryan James. The highlights are great, the song is pretty solid as well.
James has a pretty amazing story that involves cancer, alcohol rehabilitation and recording the song on a $15 ipad app.
“If cancer didn’t faze James, this certainly wouldn’t either. James relocated from his home state of New York to central Kentucky to dive into the Bluegrass music scene. Shortly after his arrival he was blown away by basketball mania. “I couldn’t believe how wild these Kentucky fans are. Young, old, male, female, it makes no difference, the common thread is Kentucky Basketball and that’s pretty darn cool.”
After living in Kentucky during the 2013 – 2014 season, James started kicking around the idea for a song about Kentucky Basketball with the goal, he said, of ‘bringing the fans together even more.’
“I loved the enthusiasm of the fans and don’t get me wrong, the passion over the fight song or My Old Kentucky Home is amazing but I felt like the fans may enjoy something new.”

Jeff James sent us these pictures and a short background of his life as a Cat fan. Here’s part of what he sent:
I’m Jeff James from Louisville, Kentucky. I’ve been a die hard fan since about 1988.I got my first tattoo ever when I was 25 because I wanted to wait and make sure I knew what I wanted. My first UK tattoo was of the Wildcat head and I wanted to put the rest of the body on it but the guy never had time. Joe Boyer owns Ink and Dagger Tattoo Company on Bardstown Rd in Louisville was able to complete the tat. I’d say he’s done about 90% of my UK tattoos and 95% of all my tattoos. I know tattoos aren’t for everybody but I didn’t get them for everybody, I got them for me. I don’t EVER miss a game, and I check Twitter and Facebook for news multiple times a day.I’m left-handed and some of my favorite players have been lefties like Tayshaun Prince. And it was great having both Randle and Young on the team last year being left-handed.My closet is packed full of UK gear. I have over 20 Jerseys and all the way back to the icicle uniforms amd denim.I think I just might be who coach Calipari I’d talking about when he says “You People Are Crazy!”Jeff also credits his Uncle Jimmy for helping him become a Super Fan of the Cats. You can find him on Twitter @kngjamesblu502Check out his tattoos!
Jeanine (on the left) sent us a classic Kentucky Crazy picture and a brief story behind the picture. She lives in Holland, Michigan but is from Kentucky.
Here is what she sent us:
“Got Invisalign in February and developed an allergy. When given sheet with retainer style options. University of Michigan and Michigan State were choices of styles. When I asked about Kentucky one, it was available. My finished one looks cooler than ones I had seen before. Go Cats!”
